Traditinal Moroccan Cookies

Ghoriba Behla (Traditional Moroccan cookies)
Ingredients for 60 cookies
250g finely ground almonds
250g sesame seeds
1 kg white cake flour
250 g confectioner’s sugar
20g baking powder
250g melted butter
Method
Knead all ingredients in a large bowl until well blended.
To form the cookies, roll a ball of dough between your palms to flatten. The cookies should have a flat bottom and a slightly rounded top, about 2 inches in diameter.
Place the formed cookies on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven in two steps.
First, put the cookie sheet in the middle of the oven and broil cookies for 5-7 minutes.
Then change the oven temperature to 170° C. Watch the cookies carefully and bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with mint tea or coffee. Samira

Hi, do you really mean "broil" cookies or bake them? Wouldn't broiling burn them? Thanks
